Do you have an event coming up in a public park and are wondering whether you can hire a bouncy castle? Great news, you can! Just as long as you have contacted your local shire or city and have received council approval before the event.

Planning your public event

When planning your event in a public park, there are a few requirements to check before you hire a bouncy castle. Firstly, you will need to contact your local council to check if they allow bouncy castles to be set up in their local parks.

If they allow it, you will need to go inspect the park you want to use and figure out where you want the bouncy castle set up. You will need to check whether the ground is suitable to secure the castles with pegs and if there is a source of power onsite or if a generator will be required to run the power to the bouncy castle. If you are hiring a waterslide, we will also need access to a tap. If there is a power point and tap available, you will need to ask the local council if you are allowed to use them.

Access to the park is also important as we are required to drive into the park to unload our inflatables. If the park has a gate, you are required to contact the council to get the gate keys to unlock it when we arrive to set up.

Once you have completed the planning and gathered all information for your corporate, private or public event you can proceed to the council website, or give them a call to get the required council approval. If your local council requires safety documents such as Public Liability insurance, please let us know and we can send it through to you. After that, you will be ready to hire your jumping castle.
