Monsterball is celebrating their 10 year anniversary! Today we want to share with you our journey from a small three-man business outside of Fremantle, to the established company West Australians have come to know.

Our humble beginnings
It all started 10 years ago when Yoann arrived in Australia as a young backpacker. He was hungry for work and happened to land a job at a small inflatable hire business called…you guessed it…Monsterball Amusements!
Soonafter, Yoann got his two friends Ben and Lucien to join him at Monsterball. One day, while having a couple of beers at the pub, the trio decided to buy the business. And that is exactly what they did!
Flashforward 10 years and this small three-man business has turned into one of the biggest inflatable amusement companies in Australia! Yoann, Ben, and Lucien put their heart and soul in Monsterball and built a successful business, but how exactly did they do it?
Behind the scenes
Much more goes into our business than people think. In the beginning we didn’t have any systems in place – bookings came through and we just assumed that all the information provided was correct. As it turns out, most times it wasn’t.
Today we have a well-tested fail proof system that ensures everything runs smoothly. From bookings to the actual event, everything is triple-checked to deliver exactly what our customers need.
Let’s take a closer look at the team that makes all of this possible!
We have Sarah, our Customer Service Manager who takes care of enquiries, bookings, and makes sure everything runs smoothly on-sight. From organising transport to scheduling staff for the event, our Sarah works hard so that you don’t have to.
Courtney, our Accounts Manager, handles everything money-related and has been crucial in ensuring profitability for our business. Every once in a while she has to call a naughty customer who doesn’t pay on time hahaha!
Finally, we have Tim, our Logistics Manager who looks after the warehouse. He makes sure that the place is neat and tidy, that all the vehicles are loaded in the correct order, and that all the required equipment is ready to go – trolleys, sandbags, generators, and more.
But at the core of our success there is one thing… Safety! It’s our number #1 priority and we make sure that all safety requirements are met on the job. We comply with industry standards and have in-house and on-sight training for all staff.
Milestones and accomplishments
Since Yoann, Ben, and Lucien took over the business 10 years ago, Monsterball has reached many milestones and accomplished many great feats.
The business expanded from a small three-man team with a handful of inflatables, to a team of over 30 staff and two warehouses packed with over 200 different inflatables.
In the beginning, Monsterball only serviced Perth and its surroundings. Today we have expanded to all of WA and service as far as Esperance, Kalgoorlie, and Broome. Read about our yearly regional road trip and how we bring joy to regional communities.
Our latest accomplishment has been opening our Darwin branch in 2021. We are now the largest inflatable amusement company in the Northern Territory, servicing all areas across the state with a large focus being on regional and Aboriginal communities.
